Build a seven-day picture
Note bowl refills, urine clump size, appetite at each meal, vomiting, body weight if available, and whether your cat seeks water from unusual places.
Protect eating and hydration
Offer fresh water in several quiet locations and keep food easy to reach. Do not change to a restrictive diet or add supplements without veterinary guidance.
Do not wait for
Seek veterinary help promptly for repeated vomiting, marked weakness, refusing food, dehydration, mouth ulcers, sudden behavior change, or difficulty urinating.
