Write the time, what happened first, where your pet went, whether they panted or vocalized, and what finally helped them settle.
Check the simple needs
Confirm comfortable temperature, water access, a clear toileting route, traction, and pain-free access to the sleeping area. Avoid changing several things at once.
Call sooner when
Breathing difficulty, repeated unproductive retching, collapse, a swollen abdomen, inability to urinate, severe distress, or sudden confusion needs urgent veterinary advice.
